VITAL STATISTICS

DIVORCED with a daughter, aged five.

CURRENT ROLE

PERSONAL trainer.

WOULD LIKE TO MEET

LOOKS-WISE, I’m not picky. I go for personality. I love it when someone is set on achieving their aims.

DATING PAST?

I WAs married for four years and I’ve been single for two.

I have had a few dates since but I’ve been focusing on my career, building up a client base. I hope to open up my own gym. This is my first blind date.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

I WAs more anxious than nervous. I didn’t know what to expect.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

LEANNE was beautiful, tall and has lovely hazel-green eyes, which I complimented her on. she was a little shy at first, but when we started talking she opened up a lot more.

EASY TO TALK TO?

Yes, the conversation flowed easily and we had so much in common. she is a certified personal trainer as well, so we talked a lot about fitness and business.

Family seems important to her — she mentioned her siblings, who all have children, and how she would like to be next.

We spoke about me already being a father. If I’m honest, I’m not ready to settle down and have more children just yet, but Leanne clearly wants that.

she comes across as a bit stand-offish to begin with, but she’s not like that at all when you start talking to her. she has a lovely sense of humour.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

NO, none at all — the date went very smoothly.

DID SPARKS FLY?

NOT really. she was beautiful and we had a great conversation but there was no real chemistry. I did fancy her but I got the sense that she didn’t feel the same way, so I didn’t want to put any pressure on her.

SEE HER AGAIN?

I’M NOT saying that I wouldn’t see her again but we didn’t swap numbers and, as I sensed the attraction wasn’t mutual, I didn’t want to make her feel obliged to hand over her number.

If she’d been interested, I’m sure she would have made it clear, and I would have been happy to exchange details.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE THOUGHT OF YOU?

SHE said I had a good head on my shoulders and that I’m driven, very comfortable and confident. I hope that’s all positive.

WOULD YOUR FAMILY LIKE HER?

Yes, they’d like her. she is a great girl all around.
