Will no one oppose woke subjects quango?

-

YOUR report on the latest diktats from degrees watchdog the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) made me furious. Sociologist Frank Furedi (Mail) concluded his brilliant dismissal of its monstrous ideology by stating that it would take a brave vice-chancellor to challenge the QAA’s right to dictate terms to universities, but I think we should all implore our MPs to act to prevent the QAA destroying our once-great education system.

DAVID BERNSTEIN, High Wycombe, Bucks. THE QAA wants to ‘decolonise’ ancient history. To me, ancient history is the

Babylonian, Persian and Egyptian empires. Where was the ‘white supremacy’ in them?

JOHN SMITH, Warrington, Cheshire. THE Quality Assurance Agency states online that it is a charity. So how has it gained such a powerful hold over the heads of our universities? Woke ideology is steadily working its way into all aspects of our lives, and retail companies and civic organisations are falling over each other to embrace it.

L. ATTWATER, York. IN GOD’S name, how do these people get appointed under a so-called Conservative administration? Is there no ministerial oversight on the appointment to such key posts as head of the QAA?

KEN MAXWELL, Newtownards, Co Down. THOSE in charge of our once highly regarded universities seem hell-bent on making them places of indoctrination. We must stand up to this woke claptrap.

FIONA YOuLTON, Olney, Bucks. HAVING just read your article on ‘decolonising’ all subjects, I and probably thousands of others still haven’t a clue what the degrees watchdog is talking about. Has its chief executive Vicki Stott swallowed a rainbow dictionary?
