HODGSON KEEN TO TAKE PHILLIPS ON LOAN AT PALACE WINDOW WATCH

-

▪ CRYSTAL PALACE manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed he wants Kalvin Phillips on loan from MANCHESTER CITY. NEWCASTLE UNITED are struggling to meet the costs of bringing Phillips (right) on loan, with a fee of around £6million plus wages, and Juventus have dropped out. ‘I would like to think that we could possibly put our hand up and push ourselves forward,’ said Hodgson. Newcastle need a midfielder following Sandro Tonali’s ban and Joelinton’s season-ending injury.

▪ TOTTENHAM defender Sergio Reguilon will have a medical at BRENTFORD today ahead of signing on loan. The 27-year-old returned this month from a loan spell at Manchester United. FIORENTINA remain keen on a

deal for Spurs winger Bryan Gil late in the window. Japhet Tanganga is returning to Tottenham, having not played for Augsburg since joining on loan in September.

▪ MANCHESTER UNITED are looking to keep hold of Amad Diallo despite a loan request from

Michael Carrick’s MIDDLESBROUGH.

The winger has impressed in training and would be required as cover while United are concentrating on

offers for Facundo Pellistri. Granada hope to sign the Uruguayan on loan but the deal has still to be given clearance. Benfica have agreed an £8.6m option to buy in the loan deal for United left back Alvaro Fernandez.

▪ ARSENAL defender Cedric Soares is discussing a move to Besiktas. Soares, 32, is into the final six months of his contract and is free to discuss a summer transfer with overseas clubs.

▪ RENNES have made an approach for NOTTINGHAM FOREST midfielder Orel Mangala. Napoli and Juventus have also made enquiries for the 25-year-old. Rennes want a loan with an option to buy as Forest look for around £25m.

▪ WOLVES are keen on CHELSEA striker Armando Broja. Much will depend on Chelsea’s own search for a striker as they explore the market for late opportunities. FULHAM have also discussed Albanian Broja.
