÷ BRENTFORD are close to beating Tottenham to the £25.6million signing of Club Bruges forward Antonio Nusa after offering instant first-team football next season. Nusa was in talks with Tottenham but Brentford have agreed a deal ahead of their rivals and are set to land the 18-year-old pending a medical. Nusa is to stay in Belgium on loan until the end of the season once his move to Brentford is completed. Brentford have also enquired about Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga, 23.

÷ WEST HAM’S proposed move for Nordsjaelland forward Ibrahim Osman has stalled over the Danish side’s asking price. West Ham had an offer worth about £16m rejected for the 19-year-old, who is keen to make the move. West Ham are exploring other targets though the deal is not yet off.

÷ SUNDERLAND have rejected a £14m offer from Lazio for winger Jack Clarke. Sunderland want to keep the 23-year-old who has been the subject of interest from West Ham, Brentford and Burnley. Tottenham retain a 25 per cent sell-on clause.

÷ ASTON VILLA have made their third formal offer for MIDDLESBROUGH forward Morgan Rogers of around £12m plus £3m in add-ons. Villa are also among the clubs monitoring Jonathan Rowe at NORWICH. ÷ LUTON have moved to pip LEEDS to the signing of Japan right back Daiki Hashioka from Belgian club Sint-Truiden. Talks have taken place over a £2m deal with the 24-year-old keen on a move to Kenilworth Road. Leeds made an approach to sign Hashioka but were concerned about a recent injury.

÷ CRYSTAL PALACE are weighing up a late move for Marseille striker Iliman Ndiaye. Palace and WOLVES have asked about BIRMINGHAM midfielder Jordan James, 19. Atalanta had an offer of about £3m rejected for James, who Birmingham value at £10m. Palace were rebuffed in a £18.5m bid for Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton. BLACKBURN are pushing to sign LIVERPOOL defender Nat Phillips on loan.

÷ NOTTINGHAM FOREST are expected to curtail Divock Origi’s loan from AC Milan so that he can join Los Angeles FC for the remainder of the season. Mail Sport reported last week that a number of MLS sides had expressed interest in the Belgian, who has failed to make an impact at Forest. Defender Jonathan Panzo is to have a medical at Standard Liege today ahead of confirming his move from Forest on loan. Anderlecht’s Kasper Schmeichel, the former Leicester captain, has emerged as an option for Forest if they are able to sign a goalkeeper this month.
