Burglar gang target Juliet’s beloved haul of handbags

-

JULIET ANGUS once declared that moving to London was her ‘greatest adventure to date’. Yet the Chicago-born social media influencer and star of television show Ladies of London has now been left in despair at the crime in the capital under Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Juliet — who lives with her Canadian husband, Gregor Angus, the boss of True Royalty TV, and their two children — has revealed that she was the victim of a burglary in which her huge collection of handbags, worth tens of thousands of pounds, was stolen.

‘Twenty-five years of collecting stolen by horrible humans, lowlife criminals,’ rages the 48-year-old.

She has now begun the costly task of amassing her treasured haul again.

‘ Rebuilding my Hermes handbag collection,’ she says.

‘[I] have to start all over. These bags are expensive, and a lot of work goes into being able to afford just one.’ Hermes bags can cost anything from £900 for a new one to £90,000 for a rare vintage piece. Juliet declines to give more details about the burglary, but says police have not caught the thieves or retrieved any of her possessions. She is just the latest prominent victim of crime in the capital. Former boxing champion Amir Khan cancelled his plans to move to London last year after robbers snatched his diamond- encrusted £ 70,0000 Franck Muller watch at gunpoint. Music mogul Simon Cowell sold his £ 15 million mansion near Holland Park last year, after it was the target of multiple burglars, one of whom stole almost £1 million in jewellery. A man was arrested in Serbia in December in connection with a £26 million celebrity burglary spree that targeted the London homes of Formula 1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone and England football legend Frank Lampard, among others.
