Emma can’t stop her Audi being towed off
EMMA Watson might have wished she had stuck with the Hogwarts Express after a night out ended in her car being impounded by police.
The Harry Potter star left her £ 0,000 Audi A ‘illegally’ parked as she enjoyed an evening in the nearby Rose and Crown pub in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Ms Watson, , had apparently failed to spot a ‘no-parking’ sign and left the Audi blocking a car park entrance.
A pizza restaurant manager’s vehicle was trapped inside for three and a half hours. The manager – who had finished a 12-hour shift a nearby pizzeria – trawled local restaurants in an effort to find the car’s owner before calling the police to have it towed.
As the blue Audi was being hauled on to a low loader, Ms Watson came ‘flying out’ of the pub.
Despite her appeals the car was taken, earning her a £192 fine and a £26 retention charge for each day it remains at the pound.
The pizza boss, who asked not to be named, told the Mail: ‘The car had parked in front of our gate which is a no-parking zone. Three and a half hours of searching for the driver was
the last thing I needed after working a 12-hour shift.
‘I was forced to call the police so I could get out. When the police started to tow her car away, she came flying out of the pub shouting, “That’s my car, that’s my car!” ’
The actress, pictured right, was also seen driving the Audi with noticeable front wing damage last December.
Warwickshire Police confirmed a report had been logged and a blue Audi S was impounded. Ms Watson has been contacted for comment.
