- Interviews by ALANA KIRK

DATING PAST?

I WAS in a serious relationship last year, which ended as we wanted different things from life. I’ve been single for a couple of months now.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

No, I was excited to meet someone new and loved the restaurant. I wore smart black chinos, a knitted jumper and loafers.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

I tHouGHt Diana was a very beautiful lady with a great smile. She was already at the table waiting and so I quickly sat down and we started chatting.

EASY TO TALK TO?

YES, it was a fun experience. We had a lot in common, especially the fact we’re both foodies so we enjoyed tasting and sharing our food. the prawn starters were amazing and we loved the chicken dish we shared too.

We had a lot to eat and enjoyed some great chats. We both said that you only live once and so like to enjoy things to the full.

We also both live at home with our parents — neither of us has ever moved out or lived on our own, but we agreed we both would if we had the opportunity. I liked the fact that family is important to her.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

Not at all luckily, but I’m sure we’d have laughed if there had been anything.

DID SPARKS FLY?

WE Got on, with plenty of banter, but there was something missing. the chemistry just wasn’t there and I didn’t feel that sort of connection.

I would normally flirt but I wasn’t bringing my flirtiest chatter with Diana at all.

WOULD YOU MEET AGAIN?

tHERE was no romance but I enjoyed her company. I don’t think I’d go on another date, but would definitely say hello if I ever bumped into her.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE THOUGHT OF YOU?

I SuSPECt, like me, she felt like it was a mutual friendship with no romance — so just an enjoyable experience. We’re not awkward people, so I would have made the move if the spark was there.

WOULD YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIKE HER?

DEFINItELY, some of my friends would enjoy her vibes.
