Your Majesty, we all wish you well

-

AFTER the King had found his feet in his new role, we now hear from the Palace that he has cancer.

On two occasions last July, I saw him in the procession at Sandringham Flower Show and he looked totally at ease. One can only hope he recovers speedily and we all wish him well.

GRAHAM DAY, Stowmarket, Suffolk. Since King Charles is upbeat about his cancer treatment, there is no reason why the rest of us should feel otherwise. Queen Camilla will no doubt keep him in good spirits while he undergoes treatment. I wish them both well. Long live the King.

JOANN LEE FRANK, Clearwater, Florida. I hope this guilt visit by Prince harry does not overshadow the King’s health issues. The former is not the important person in these worrying times.

I’m not sure how he can show his face after rubbishing his family so many times, though. The only saving grace is that he is alone. Mrs BARBARA JOHNS, Southmoor, Oxon.

I FEEL sure everyone across the Western world will wish King Charles a speedy recovery. he has had so much stress to deal with in recent years. Despite the deaths of both his parents and all the worries about harry and Andrew, Charles always comes across as a thoughtful, caring person. Queen Camilla is his rock and she and the family will get him through this.

PETER T. SMITH, Walsall, W. Mids.

The Australian Monarchist League wishes the King of Australia, King Charles III, all the best as he deals with his health prognosis. his devotion to his duties is to be commended. The prayers, thoughts and best wishes of all Australians of goodwill are with the King and his family as they face this health challenge together.

PHILIP BENWELL, Australian Monarchist League,

Sydney, New South Wales. I Wish King Charles and the Princess of Wales speedy recoveries. Moreover, I want to thank them for being so open about their medical issues, unlike u.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd J. Austin, who had prostate surgery but hid his complications and hospital admission from everyone, including President Biden. King Charles’s openness about his health will encourage more men to get screened and treated.

PAUL L. NEWMAN, Merion Station, Pennsylvania. IT INFURIATES me to be told the King wishes to be open about his condition because it might help people in a similar situation. his life bears not the remotest resemblance to mine, so he may as well be from Mars.

That said, get well soon.

JAMES ADAMS, Retford, Notts. The only person on BBC Breakfast not to mention the King’s cancer was Carol Kirkwood, who presents the weather forecast.

Mr R. J. CLARK, Cheltenham, Gloucs.
