Lanzarote was the perfect holiday spot for this young family

When Victoria Lamm was looking for some winter sun with her partner Reuben and their two children, Amari, three, and 18-month-old Tao, Lanzarote offered everything they needed.

Travelling with Jet2holidays, the friendly staff made the journey a breeze and the little ones loved the facilities at the stunning Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa. With flights, transfers and 22kg baggage included, the All Inclusive escape was the perfect sunshine getaway.

FABULOUS FACILITIES

‘The resort had fantastic facilities for the kids. Amari even joined the big children to try the inflatable assault course. He managed to get up on this trampoline and really loved it. The boys also enjoyed the soft play area, the little football pitch and in the evenings they would dance at the little discos.’

DINNER DATES

‘Sometimes eating out with children can be full-on, especially at a nice place. But I didn’t feel awkward with the kids, whether we were enjoying the buffet or trying one of the à la carte restaurants. After dinner they’d fall asleep in the double buggy so we could watch the entertainment and enjoy time as a couple.’

ENDLESS SUMMER

‘Going away while it’s still cold and dark at home felt like a huge treat. Lanzarote was warm and quite desert-like – it was such a contrast. I would definitely go back to the Canaries as the weather was lovely and it felt so doable off-season as well. Perhaps it’s time to try another island.’

BEACH BEAUTY

‘The beach was a five-minute walk away – the golden sand was lovely and the sea was fabulous. It was Reuben’s birthday while we were away, so on that day, after a roomservice breakfast, I looked after the kids on the beach while he tried parasailing and enjoyed more of Lanzarote from the sky.’

PRISTINE POOLS

‘The kids’ pool was so nice and it was the ideal size to keep an eye on Amari and Tao. We’d spend the morning at the pool and then the afternoon at the beach, which was also stunning. It was so great to see the boys getting more comfortable in the water as they splashed around every day.’
