Is Galloway’s by-election victory a worry?

- RuSS Ball, leicester.

IF YOU had given George Galloway a map of the UK a few months ago, would he have been able to pinpoint where Rochdale is? Hopefully he will disappear as an MP at the general election.

ian MiTchell, hove, e. Sussex. SUNAK and Starmer’s responses to george galloway’s win were as disturbing as the result itself. They act as if they have a god-given right to rule, seemingly dismissive of the Rochdale electorate exercising their democratic right.

Mr aDrian BirD, cheltenham, Gloucs. IT IS disingenuous of Lord Austin of Dudley (Mail) to describe George Galloway’s election as MP

for Rochdale as ‘a disaster for Britain’. Galloway has filled the moral vacuum created by the UK Government failing to condemn the Israeli policy of collective punishment, which has resulted in the deaths of 30,000 Gazans.

J. ShaW, Great Barford, Beds. LORD Austin states ‘democracy, equality between men and women, freedom, fairness and tolerance are non-negotiable. If you don’t believe in them, feel free to go and live somewhere else’. But are these in evidence in Britain? I am joining the record numbers emigrating from the UK because I do believe in those values. Alas, the ruling political elite stands idly by while Islamists and Leftists try to destroy them.

JeFF DaviS, Shrewsbury. gEORgE gALLOWAy said of his win: ‘This is for gaza’. I would have hoped it was for his constituents.

leSlie MuTch, Dingwall, ross & cromarty. IF YOU vote in England but do not consider England to be your first priority, I’d prefer it if you voted elsewhere. Gaza, for example.
