Jose & Klopp in scrap for Gimenez

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool are going head-to-head in the race to sign Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez. The highly-rated young stopper (above) is a target for the Premier League rivals, who are both determined to bolster their central defensive options this summer. Jose Mourinho leads the race for the Uruguayan, but Jurgen Klopp is also keen. The pair will hope to land Gimenez, 22, for less than his £39million buyout clause.
