We Have got to win them all
GLENTORAN boss Gary Haveron is targeting a winning run as the East Belfast club bids to muscle its way into the Europa League play-offs. The Ovalmen, who lie eighth in the Premiership table, are resigned to a bottom six finish but know seventh place will secure a place in the European shootout. Ahead of tonight’s home clash with second-bottom Carrick, Haveron said: “We have six games left and my message to the players is simple – let’s try and win them all. “That’s the mentality we have to show if we want to target the play-off. We want to finish as high up the table and seventh will give us a shot at Europe.” Glentoran got back to winning ways with an impressive 4-2 victory over 10-man Ballymena United thanks to a Curtis Allen hat-trick last Saturday. “It was a big three points for us against a Ballymena side who have performed really well this season,” said Haveron. “We hadn’t been creating chances so to score four goals and see Curtis grab a hat-trick was very pleasing. “It’s important we take the confidence from that result into this game.”
