£166 bill for kids’ parties

THE average children’s birthday party now costs £166, with kids typically inviting 12 friends. But 22% of parents invite the whole school class. Bashes for seven-yearolds are priciest, averaging £188. Those for 11-yearolds are £153, said a poll of 2,000 parents of kids aged 4-12 for Disney Party. Parenting expert Anita Cleare said: “Although it can be stressful, it’s great to see that 53% of parents still enjoy hosting parties for their children.”
