We revealed murder trial details of the Duchess of York’s former aide Jane Andrews. She stabbed to death rich businessman boyfriend Thomas Cressman in a jealous rage. Andrews was sentenced to life and released in 2015 after 14 years.

The discovery of the virus responsible for Aids was hailed as a breakthrough. HTLV-3 was renamed HIV in 1987. It’s estimated that 36 million people around the world are living with the HIV virus.
49 YEARS AGO (1968)
The first decimal coins were issued by the Decimal Currency Board in preparation for the change to full decimalisation on February 15, 1971. Shoppers were initially confused by the new five and 10 pence coins – which were to be used alongside the shilling and the florin – and some refused to accept them.
