Fallon blasts ‘nasty’ cuts
MORE than 18,000 people will be hit by government plans to strip 18 to 21-yearolds of housing benefit, says a Lib Dem study. It will affect 2,820 in London, 800 in Birmingham and 700 in Manchester – cities suffering the highest homeless rates. Lib Dem Leader Tim Farron said: “This nasty policy threatens to push thousands more young people on to the streets. “Vulnerable people with nowhere to turn are being abandoned by this heartless government.”
