Air fare wars slash prices

-

LONG haul air fares have plummeted in the past year due to price wars and a fall in fuel costs. A return to Vancouver, Canada, is now £576, down by £126 or 18%. Fares to Boston are down 13%, and Hong Kong by 12%. Website Skyscanner says average long hauls are down 8.5%. Its travel editor Cat Mcgloin said: “Finding cheap prices can be easy if travellers are flexible.” She suggested departing from a different airport or changing a date of travel.
