Wear in a real mess
SHAMBOLIC Sunderland have admitted they don’t know what they are doing after being snubbed by another managerial target. Preston boss Simon Grayson followed Aberdeen’s Derek Mcinnes in distancing himself from the relegated Black Cats. Grayson said: “I’m fully committed to what we’re doing at Preston.” It came as the Wearsiders conceded publicly they would not make any promises to any replacement for David Moyes with owner Ellis Short trying to sell the club. A statement read: “Since the end of the season, our focus has been to appoint a new manager. Recently, discussions have been entered into with parties who have expressed an interest in acquiring ownership of the club. “With this backdrop, we have been unable to give the assurances any potential candidate would need regarding the plans a new owner could have.”
