Four! Beef has round of sarnies

ANDREW JOHNSTON’S nickname is Beef, but it was jam and peanut butter that helped him keep up with the chasing pack. The bearded Brit (above) is a favourite with American galleries and he lapped up the adulation as he put together a 73 that kept him comfortably inside the cut on two under. He was helped by his manager delivering FOUR peanut butter sandwiches on the first tee. Beef said: “I was not expecting four. I said to get me a couple, but given that Sean is from Ireland, I guess that means four! “I had breakfast, but sometimes an omelette or cereal isn’t enough. It is a long walk out there.”
