Ulster Basques in top temperatures
TEMPERATURES soared in Northern Ireland at the weekend with the thermometer hitting highs of 25C. The sunshine treated punters at Downpatrick races and paddlers at Helen’s Bay, Co Down – the hottest spot in the country – to a day as warm as San Sebastian in Spain’s Basque country. The mercury reached the low to mid-20s everywhere with today predicted to remain warm.
