‘Marriage under pressure over fling’

DANNY Dyer’s marriage is “under serious pressure” just weeks after he returned to the UK following an extended break from work, pals claim.

The Eastenders actor, 39, and his wife Jo Mas have been spending time apart after he reportedly got back in touch with a “bunch of wrong ’uns” in recent weeks. Friends of the couple, who have three children, say Jo is embarrassed by claims that he had a six-week affair with Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding in 2012. A source close to the pair said: “Jo has been left humiliated by the weekend reports of Danny’s fling. The affair might have been years ago but the reports and fact everyone is talking about it now has been really tough on Jo. “She is already unhappy with some of the crowd Danny is hanging around with again and things are not rosy between them. It is fair to say their marriage is under serious pressure. Jo has forgiven a lot of things he does but it can’t go on for ever.” Yesterday the couple met at a pub in Loughton, Essex, where Jo appeared stony-faced. Danny, who plays Mick Carter in the BBC soap, is due at work today. Insiders said it’s “business as usual” for him, despite the reports accusing him of “falling in lust” with Sarah, who had believed that he was single. The singer, now 35, starred with Danny in the 2012 film Run For Your Wife. The pal added: “He had told her he was living with his dad and that he was single. But eventually his mask slipped. She felt hurt and incredibly betrayed.” A spokesman for Sarah declined to comment. The Sunday Mirror told yesterday how Jo is also upset that Danny is hanging out with former friends who were not a good influence. He recently took a six-week break from the soap, thought to be to recover from exhaustion. Yesterday Danny and the BBC declined to comment.
