Mcgregor is Russian to return..
CONOR MCGREGOR is already looking past Floyd Mayweather to a fight with UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Dubliner is due to meet Mayweather in the ring on August 26 but he also wants to return to the Octagon before the end of the year. Top of his hitlist is Nurmagomedov, on the Russian’s own turf, in what would be UFC’S first visit to the country. UFC president Dana White told Mmajunkie.com: “You know what Conor told me? He said, ‘I want Khabib in Russia’. He’s awesome. “Conor Mcgregor is a f ****** unicorn. There’s nothing like him. He’s working on boxing Floyd Mayweather and then he’s talking about fighting Khabib in Russia right after.” Nurmagomedov hasn’t fought since he was forced out of his interim lightweight title bout with Tony Ferguson last March due to weight issues. The winner was supposed to go on to fight Mcgregor in a unification match. And White claims that it is Mcgregor’s willingness to fight all-comers that separates him from everyone else on the roster “Those are the kind of things that make that kid a superstar,” White said. “I’ve got guys telling me, ‘I don’t want to fight this guy, and I don’t want to do this’. “Conor says, ‘I want Floyd Mayweather then I want Khabib in Russia.’ How do you not love Conor Mcgregor? Amazing.” ZDUBLIN will not be one of the stops for the promotional tour that will support Mayweather versus Mcgregor. However, a London date has been pencilled in.
