LET’S GATHER TO SEE JOSH
JOSH Ritter & the Royal City Band have just announced a Belfast headliner at the city’s Mandela Hall in December.
It will follow the release of new album Gathering set for September 22.
A very regular visitor to Belfast over the years, this will remarkably be Josh Ritter’s first appearance since the Spring of 2011.
His acclaimed 20-year career as a songwriter and musician reaches new heights with the Gathering, his ninth fulllength album.
Re-engergized after a recent collaboration with legendary musician Bob Weir (who contributes vocals and guitar to a song on Gathering) and – at the same time – tired of living in the shadow of his earlier self, Josh felt charged with exploring the possibility of cutting himself loose from his own and others’ expectations. In his words, “I began with an exciting sense of dissatisfaction, and what emerged, as I began to find my voice, was a record full of storms.” TICKETS for The Killers’ return to Belfast went on sale at 9am this morning. Brandon and the lads play the SSE on Friday November 17 following the release of ‘Wonderful Wonderful’ – their first album since 2012’s charttopping
Battle Born.

LA, it’s shaping up to be the band’s most sonically forward-thinking record yet – an LP bursting with all of the blazing choruses and arena-filling anthems that make The Killers one of the world’s biggest and most beloved rock bands.
