DODGY TV streaming boxes could spark fires, watchdogs have warned.

Trading Standards has seized more than 40 devices in a raid that do not meet British electrical safety standards.

The £100 units claim to allow access to copyrighted material for free.

A 53-year-old man from West London was arrested during the swoop.

Kieron Sharp, of intellectual property protection group FACT, said it was a “step forward in disrupting the sale of illegal devices”.
