Gard parents upset by doc death threats

CHARLIE Gard’s parents were “extremely upset by the backlash” after hearing medics for the 11-monthold had death threats.

Mum Connie Yates said: “Despite conflicting issues, we have always had the utmost respect for staff at Great Ormond Street.

“Like them, we have been shocked by some of the public response to this case and agree it is disgraceful doctors have received death threats.”

Connie and Chris Gard of Bedfont, West London, are considering their next steps ahead of another High Court hearing on a US treatment option for terminally-ill Charlie.

Great Ormond Street medics say the therapy will not help the tot, who has a rare genetic condition and brain damage.
