TEMPTED TO LEAVE HUBBY FOR EX LOVE

Dear Coleen

My ex boyfriend and I were very much in love when we were younger but because he relocated to the US we lost contact for 22 years.

However, recently he came back for me and we’ve been seeing each other, even though I’m married.

I still love this man very much and he wants me back for good.

My problem is, even though I don’t really love my husband, he loves me so much.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Look, you haven’t seen this guy in more than 20 years, which is a long time, and you will both have changed a lot as people.

I understand it’s exciting now, getting back in touch and rekindling those feelings, but do you really love him or do you love the the guy he was 22 years ago?

I’d advise you to be very careful before you give up everything you’ve built up over the past two decades and take off into the sunset with your ex.

However, if you’re saying that this guy coming back has made you realise that you don’t love your husband, then you should deal with that first.

If you don’t love someone any more, as heartbreaking as it is, you do have to put your happiness and wellbeing first.

But don’t just instantly throw it away for a past romance. Maybe it will work out with your ex, but sort your marriage out first.
