Trump sacks The Mooch after 10 days
DONALD Trump has fired his communications director Anthony Scaramucci after just 10 days.
The President acted on the request of his new chief-of-staff John Kelly after the man they call The Mooch had insulted senior White House staff.
The sacking came hours after Mr Trump took to Twitter to claim his administration was running smoothly.
He wrote: “Highest Stock Market EVER, best economic numbers in years, unemployment lowest in 17 years, wages raising, border secure. No WH chaos.”
Scaramucci, 53, had been brought in to try to halt a growing number of leaks.
But his appointment led to the resignation of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the President’s first chief-of-staff. The new man bragged he reported only to the President but Mr Kelly made it clear he is in charge. A source claimed: “Kelly said he had to go and Trump took his advice.”
And it was alleged last night The Mooch was escorted out of the building. The White House claimed: “Mr Scaramucci felt it was best to give John Kelly a clean slate to build his own team.” But sources said Mr Kelly did not think Mr Scaramucci was disciplined. The Mooch had called Priebus “a f***ing paranoid schizophrenic”.
It was revealed he was being divorced by his wife Deidre Scaramucci after she allegedly grew tired of her husband’s political ambitions reportedly being put before her needs.
She split from him months ago and filed for divorce two weeks before she gave birth to their son.
