Six wickets in six balls for cricket lad, 13

- BY NATHAN SANDHU BY ROD MCPHEE

A BOY cricketer is celebrating the extraordinary feat of clean bowling six players in six balls in the “perfect over”.

The rare double hattrick by Luke Robinson, 13, is thought to be a record.

Luke’s dad, Stephen, who was umpiring, said: “He had bowled two overs and not had any wickets.

“He was asking to be changed. But I told him to keep on going and he produced the perfect over.”

Fast bowler Luke, of Philadelphia Under-13s in Houghton-le-spring, Tyne and Wear, stumbled as he prepared to bowl the sixth and last ball over his over.

But he stopped, composed himself and ran in to complete his remarkable performance.

Opponents Langley Park U13s were all out for 18. A YOUNG Elvis Presley gazes into the lens with a look that could melt even a wooden heart.

He was not yet 20 in this publicity shot from the 1950s, but the famous twinkle that would send millions of girls weak at the knees was already visible.

The picture is in a stunning new book of photos of the King from his family’s private albums that include many from the days before he became a rock legend.

It marks the 40th anniversary of Elvis’ death on August 16, 1977, aged just 42.

Elvis: The Legend by Gillian G Gaar is published by Carlton Books and available from bookshops and online, price £25.
