BELFAST Vital is finally here and we’ve got you covered with this handy festival guide.

Muse, Biffy Clyro, Nothing

But Thieves and Fangclub will entertain the fans tonight.

On Saturday it’s the turn of Tiesto, Clean Bandit, Robin Schulz, Sigala, Disciples and John Gibbons.

At this stage they are very few and far between but if you act fast you might still be in luck. At the time of going to press Auntie Annie’s and the Limelight and then the shows we’ve done in the Republic as well.

“We’ve been coming over for such a long time so in that regard it feels like a lifetime ago.

“There’s an earthiness about Belfast that reminds us of home. You kind of want to cast your glance over your shoulder every now and again, you want to be aware of your surroundings. That’s like the town I grew up in.

“There’s something very familiar about it.

“I’ve missed out probably half a dozen venues we’ve played in the city along the way and there’s no way I can there were still tickets available for Muse, while Tiesto was very close to selling out.

To see what’s available visit Ticketmaster.co. Vital is a 16-plus event, but if you’re under 16 don’t worry. Up to two under-16s are allowed in if accompanied by a parent or guardian over 25.

All bars at the festival site will operate a Challenge 25 policy so bring one of the following as proof of age – official remember all the names of them but we’ve got a connection, we’ve got a history.”

And what can fans expect?

“You never quite know what you’re going to get in the best possible way.

“You know it’s going to be lively, put it that way. The cliche of playing every show as if it’s our last is very apt passport, photo driving licence, Government-approved proof of age card or National Students’ Union card.

There will be an increased security presence in the wake of recent terror attacks and people are asked to leave extra time for security checks.

Those attending are not permitted to bring their own alcohol into the venue.

Alcohol, food, drinks (excluding less than 500ml of sealed water), glass, cans, umbrellas, poles, fold-up or blow-up chairs or garden furniture are not permitted.

Football or GAA tops will not be allowed and neither are sports flags and banners. when it comes to our band.” Vital security and the PSNI will be carrying out searches and rucksacks or backpacks are not permitted.

Small handbags are allowed but will be searched.

The PSNI canine unit (left) will also be in attendance detecting prohibited substances.

Translink will run increased bus and rail services to and from the venue on both nights. An enhanced Metro (92) service between Donegall Square East in Belfast city centre and Boucher Crescent will operate each day.
