Uncharted: The Lost Legacy started out as downloadab­le content for last year’s excellent Uncharted 4, but developer Naughty Dog decided to spin it out into a standalone instalment.

And it’s a winner that doesn’t stray from the tried-and-tested formula: exotic locations, gripping set-pieces and a few puzzles, interspers­ed with lashings of gunplay. Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, two supporting characters from previous adventures, step up for top billing. While it’s hard to ignore the Nathan Drakeshape­d hole in the game, the developing relationsh­ip between these two works well. Visuals and sound on Lost Legacy are just as impressive as any of the previous games.

Even though it isn’t as big as Uncharted 4 (you can beat it in around 10 hours), it’s still just as fun.
