8 died on their way to France Girl fighting for life ‘orphaned’
Mano from India, and Mr Ranjan’s wife Sangeetha were said to be traumatised.
But Arachelvan and Tamilmani Arunachalam, Mr Ranjan’s uncle and aunt, were both killed in the crash.
Their son Dr Arun Arachelvan, 30, said: “Police told me my parents and other relatives were in an accident and that my parents died on the spot.”
“My uncle succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. My aunt Valli and sister-in-law are fine but traumatised.”
Three friends of Mr Ranjan, who worked for IT contractors Wipro, were killed. A Wipro spokesman said: “It is with deep sadness we confirm the passing of Karthikeyan Ramasubra- maniyam Pugalur, Rishi Rajeev Kumar, and Vivek Bhaskaran.”
It is believed that Mr Bhaskaran died with his wife, and they were the parents of the fiveyear-old girl in hospital.
The firm, understood to be contracting the workers to Capital One credit card service in Nottingham, added: “Mr Ranjan was critically injured and we pray for a speedy recovery.”
Also killed was minibus driver Cyriac Joseph, a dad-of-two of Nottingham, who owned ABC Travels. Police have yet to officially name the victims. Chief Inspector Henry Parsons, of Thames Valley Police, said: “Some were visiting the UK from India and we are working hard to keep the families abroad informed.”
Two men have been charged. Ryszard Masierak, 31, of Evesham, Worcs, is accused of death and serious injury by dangerous driving while over the alcohol limit. He was remanded in custody to appear at High Wycombe magistrates court today.
David Wagstaff, 53, of Derwent Street, Stokeon-trent, has been charged with death and serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was bailed to appear at Milton Keynes magistrates court next month.
