Accused, 22, yelled at PSNI ‘shoot me’
A MAN shouted at police “shoot me” as they moved in to arrest him, a court heard yesterday.
The claim emerged as a policeman testified against Christopher Hamer, 22, who admitted having a hammer and disorderly behaviour in Northland Road and Coshquin Road, Derry on Sunday
The city’s magistrates heard his mother told police her son, who has addiction problems, left home for his girlfriend’s house with the hammer.
Judge Peter King released the defendant on £500 bail to appear in court again on October 20.
He was also ordered not to drink alcohol
