Perth trio banned

JOCKEYS Sean Quinlan, Stephen Mulqueen and Derek Fox were banned for 10 days after failing to pur ll up when the second race at Perth was voided yesterday. The novice handicap chase (2.35) was stopped due to safety reasons because stricken horse Johnny Go was being treated close to the finish line. The gelding had fallen at the first but got up and ran loose up the home straight before collapsing. He was attended to behind screens but he could not be saved. The yellow stop-race flag was raised near the end of the contest but Quinlan, Mulqueen and Fox all ignored the call.
