NOT THE DEND OF THE WORLD

- BY CHRIS BEECH

ANDERLECHT ace Leander Dendoncker insists it wouldn’t be a “disaster” if they lost their Champions League opener in Celtic’s Champions League group at Bayern Munich tonight.

While the Hoops do battle against PSG, the Belgian champions must travel to Germany to face the might of Bundesliga big guns Bayern.

With Celtic and Anderlecht expected to battle it out for third place and subsequent Europa League spot, PSG and Bayern are strong favourites to slug it out at the top of the group.

And Belgian international midfielder Dendoncker isn’t hugely hopeful of returning home with anything either.

He said: “It wouldn’t be a disaster to lose it.

“We know we’re not going to get it easy with Bayern. If we returned with no points, it’s not all over for us. We go to Germany with a plan. It is all about producing a strong performance on the park.”
