BOB A JOB IS DONE BY RESOLUTE CAMLOUGH

creating a flurry of chances, they couldn’t find an end product. And that ultimately cost them their place in the competition for this season, much to Jackson’s chagrin.

“It was a very frustrating afternoon,” he admitted. “We missed four or five really good chances, including a penalty. “We should have beaten them pretty comfortably based on the chances we created. They had two chances and scored them both.

“We conceded in the first minute but bounced back really well.

“We’ve been playing some great stuff of late and on Saturday I thought our football was fantastic.

“The boys worked really hard and kept creating chance after chance.

“Rathfriland are as good a side as there is around at the minute so we wanted to put a statement out by beating them.

“People will see the scoreline and think we were well beaten but that’s not a true reflection of how the game went.”

Next up for the Mill is a league game against Broomhedge Maghaberry – who have won just once so far in their five outings.

It had initially been set for Anvil Park but looks like it will be switched to Pepperton due to a weather-blighted pitch.

For Jackson it gives his team the chance to continue to amass some more points towards their ultimate goal of promotion.

He said: “It’s a game we’re going into with the target of taking three points from.

“That’s the same with every league game this season.

“Three points is a must in every match and that’s the way we have to approach things.

“The way we’re playing at the minute we have the mindset of attacking and winning football matches and we’re looking to continue that on Saturday.”
