THE wife of troubled actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers pleaded “don’t let the Devil take my husband” days after he was pictured drunk at Dublin Airport.

Mara Lane penned the emotional letter on social media as she shared an ultrasound scan from the moment she and The Tudors star discovered their second child didn’t have a heartbeat.

The American actress previously revealed the 40-yearold, who has struggled with alcoholism in the past, relapsed after the miscarriage.

Mara, who has a 10-month-old son called Wolf with Meyers, wrote a prayer on Instagram, asking God to “be kind to us when we fall”.

She said: “God if you can hear me, please don’t let the Devil take my husband like he has so many of our beloved ones.

“All he wants to do is make great art to reach others and take away any pain they may experience and be a good father to Wolf and partner to me.

“Please continue to renew his mind and those who are affected by such unspeakable sadness they cannot cope.

“Share with them signs throughout each day letting them know they are loved, appreciated, understood and seen.”

Mara also revealed the couple had named their second baby Willow and buried the tragic tot beneath a tree in their garden. And she thanked fans for their support after the Dubliner’s relapse.

She added: “To the showering of love received, thank you from bottom of our hearts.

“I am so humbled and got tearyeyed several times at how beautiful humans can be and so sad but hopeful with the stories shared of depression and miscarriage and addictions.

“Thank you for sharing your soul and stories back, as this helps us feel we are not alone.

“Anyone who knows me personally knows I would normally never share such personal sadness (only because in my head, I would not want to burden others and because I trust that in time God will heal me) but I was happy to come to my husband’s defence.

“I have been given peace and Baby Willow is now planted in the tree in front of our home that has weeping long branches and leaves so we can brush our faces in soft leaves in passing or we can see the baby dance with the wind in the branches as they sway.”
