There’s a hotel in Belgium where business people can pay for a little company – nothing new there – except these overnight guests won’t be grounds for divorce if word gets out. Anyone checking in to The Hotel Charleroi Airport is offered the chance to rent a goldfish for €3.50 a night, so they don’t feel lonely. Chips served separately, presumably.

Cream of the crop

Here, just in time for Christmas, proof that there’s no point in being annoyed by your friends going vegan any more. It’s no longer just a fad, it’s officially a real thing you have to respect – because Vegan Baileys has been launched. Oh well, we can’t beat ‘em, but we can at least now get drunk with ‘em.

Going down... Oops spa did it again

Britney Spears is still under that conservato­rship order thing which means her dad oversees all her life decisions... and yet it’s just been revealed that last year she spent $120,000 on massages. Now obviously that’s not advisable for all of us, but if you’re Britney Spears, I’d say it’s the most convincing evidence of sanity yet.

Rollover stones

Ronnie Wood has just done an interview where one of the questions was about how often he gets intimate with his partner. Rather than avoiding it, doing a joke reply or refusing to be drawn, he immediatel­y answered.

“You’ve got to have that every day,” he said. On behalf of the world, thanks Ronnie. That mental image we SO did not need is proving upsettingl­y tricky to erase.
