Going up... The Good Place

You don’t realise just how funny and clever this new Netflix comedy is until the end of the first season, after 13 episodes. Brilliantly audacious for something that’s supposed to be entertaining you to be so demanding. Watch it, and if you don’t agree that it’s amazing, let me know in exactly six and three-quarter years’ time, at 3.17 in the morning, via the medium of interpretive dance, dressed in a purple costume you made yourself.

Kim Cattrall

Just said no to the third Sex And The City movie, in the filmic equivalent of having a pet put down for its own good. Thank you, Kim. RIP Carrie.

Going down... Flat pack(et)

Ikea UK is now 30... and if you’ve just chucked out something you bought when it opened, this news will have you shouting, “FYRKANTIG!” Some of the furniture has gained cult status among art collectors – like these clam chairs, sold for peanuts, now fetching £50,000 at auction. The Billy bookcase isn’t quite there yet, but give it another few decades... and it still won’t be.

Burrit-oh!

What’s worse – the news that Aldi are about to start selling what appears to be the most revolting concept in the world, The Yorkshire Pudding Burrito... or the fact that when you read a little further (“a beef brisket slow cooked in a porcini mushroom sauce, wrapped up in a flat Yorkshire pudding and served with a red wine and onion gravy”) you are forced to admit that not only does it sounds delicious but you very much want one ASAP?
