Ted Heath’s accuser is convicted paedophile
Man at centre of inquiry is in jail Truth of claims now being queried
no evidence that a prosecution against brothel keeper Myra Ling-ling Forde was dropped because of threats to allege publicly that Sir Edward had been involved in sex offences.
In November Dr Rachel Hoskins, enlisted by detectives to examine evidence, said she had “exposed a catalogue of fabrication” at the heart of the probe.
She warned the force it should immediately end its investigation into a key accuser’s “pernicious” claims of satanic abuse.
Sir Edward was the highest-profile figure linked to child sex abuse allegations that swept Westminster. Politicians from across the spectrum were accused, including Liberal Sir Cyril Smith and Labour’s Greville Janner.
Yesterday’s report reveals that most alleged victims were boys aged 11 to 15.
None of the allegations for which Sir Edward would have been questioned relate to when he was PM.
Two alleged offences covered the period he was in Downing Street but did not meet the formal interview threshold.
Two witnesses deny claims Sir Edward was asexual and said he was “sexually active with consenting adults during parts of his life”.
The findings will be passed to the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse.
Last night Tory MP James Gray said: “We want a further inquiry into the remaining allegations so they too may be dismissed and the good name of this great man should be left in peace.”
