Murder probe after body of woman found
THE death of a woman whose body was found in a flat five days ago is being treated as murder, police said late last night.
The victim was discovered at the property in the Larkspur Rise area of West Belfast on Friday.
In a brief statement issued yesterday, Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said: “Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of the body of a woman at a flat in the Larkspur Rise area, Belfast, on Friday October 6.”
A police spokeswoman said a 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday and remains in custody.
They added there “are no further details at this stage”.
