£65.2million limits to be reallocated

-

THE Department of Finance yesterday revealed it has found £65.2million among expenditure limits that can now be reallocated.

A statement from the Executive said the money came from Resource DEL (£54m) and Capital DEL (£11.2m).

Resource spending is money that goes on day-to-day resources and administration costs, while capital is money for investment or to create future growth.

The Department of Finance said it had been working with departments on their latest financial positions, taking into account increasing and emerging pressures. As a result Department for Infrastructure will get an extra £14.2million to address resource and capital flooding pressures and other infrastructure costs.

But £11.2million must go on capital projects.
