Dying trucker in compo win

A FORMER trucker has received a six-figure payout after mould spores and dust from animal feed gave him terminal lung disease.

Ian Gear, 55, developed the illness while delivering grain for Ed Weetman Ltd between 2004 and 2012.

The dad-of-four, of Stafford, hired lawyers and has now received a settlement.

Ian, who has been told he has only 18 months to live, said: “I had no awarness of potential dangers.

“I thought I was doing my job but in reality I was gradually killing myself.”
