Loch Ness swim ‘idiot’ rescued

A TOURIST sparked a helicopter rescue after going for a swim from a cruiser on Loch Ness in his boxer shorts.

Cam Hendry, 26, lost all feeling in his legs and girlfriend Laura Mattinson, 23, could not help him get back on board as she is pregnant. She rang 999, threw him a life ring and waited until help arrived.

York bus driver Cam admitted he was “an idiot”, adding: “I’m so sorry I caused such a mess.” Loch Ness RNLI said: “The water is always cold, even on a sunny day.”
