We’ll swear Ulster folk among most foul-mouthed
WASH your mouths out – Northern Ireland people are some of the most foulmouthed in the UK.
New research shows we swear an average of 10 times per hour – the fourth highest figure of the areas surveyed.
The study of 2,000 adults found men curse more often than women.
With blasting out swearwords now commonplace it appears we’re not even watching our language at work.
The survey revealed more than a third of us (35%) have sworn at our boss – and of those who admitted it 64% were men.
Meanwhile, a similar number (37%) have also been sworn at by their boss with 71% of those people saying it is a regular occurrence.
The research showed cursing to be so deeply ingrained in society that one in five UK residents have admitted to accidentally swearing during an interview.
