It’s time to come Holmes, Ruthie

-

EAMONN Holmes wants his wife back!

He’s suggested to Ruth Langsford it is time for her to “step away” from Strictly.

Eamonn, 57, says she’s battling through pain this week as she learns to tango with Anton Du Beke.

Ruth is having daily physio for a hamstring injury and Eamonn says: “The chances of her winning are nil.

“I say to her, ‘Are you OK? You look exhausted. Is it not time to step away?’” But Ruth has no plans to quit. Eamonn, above, says: “She is enjoying proving things to herself. I think she loves it.”

Poor Eamonn admits he feels a bit bereft while Ruth, 57, is learning her steps. At an event for Gesher School, a primary for children with special educational needs, he says: “The house can be lonely. I work longish hours and when I come home I think ‘Where is Ruthie?’ She’s not there.” Luckily his dog comforts him. “She’s very good, lies on her back and rolls over.” Don’t fret Eamonn, we’re sure Ruth will be home soon (in the nicest possible way).
