YOU SAY

I’d like to reply to the 17-year-old lad who says he’s suddenly found himself with no friends since leaving school (Dear Coleen, Sept 20). The same thing happened to me and my group of friends when we left school – we started off meeting at a club every Saturday night, but then we just drifted apart. I think it’s natural and he’ll meet new friends as he goes through life and changes jobs, has relationships and also through his kids if he decides to eventually have them.
