INCE: REDS’ MANE HOPE GONE

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

PAUL INCE fears the loss of Sadio Mane could destroy any lingering title hopes at Liverpool.

The former Anfield skipper – who also played for Manchester United – believes injury to the Reds’ talisman may knock the stuffing out of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Midfield maestro Philippe Coutinho is the Kop favourite, but Ince rates Mane far more important to the team and warned they could pay a huge price for his potential 10-game lay-off. “Sadio Mane being out for six weeks is bad news for Liverpool – he’s a much bigger loss than Philippe Coutinho would be,” said Ince.

“Mane is much more involved in the game from start to finish. Without him, Liverpool’s side are a lot weaker – he’s vital.”
