AGUERO: MY LUCKY BREAK
SERGIO AGUERO has told how pulling on a seat belt moments before his car crash may have saved his life.
The Manchester City striker
broke a rib when his taxi ploughed into a lamp-post on the way to the airport in Amsterdam two weeks ago.
Aguero, in contention for a place on the bench against Stoke tomorrow, said: “When I got to the hospital I asked the doctor if I could play for City on the Saturday against Stoke. “He said, ‘I don’t believe so’.
“I took a moment to think and realised it’s thanks to wearing a seat belt that I’m able to talk about this at all.”
The Argentinian, initially ruled out for six weeks, was in Holland on a day off for a concert by Colombian singer Maluma.
