should run for office, I can’t believe he’s only 20.”

Fraser, from Glasgow, had a great night meeting celebrities such as Sharon Osbourne, Judy Murray, Nick Knowles and the Loose Women.

But Paralympic wheelchair athlete David Weir made the greatest impression. Fraser said: “My favourite celebrity was David Weir – he stuck around right until the end, until the bar closed, and we were chatting away for half an hour. He was really nice.”

The gong for the best selfie of the night must go to George Mathias, 11, and his brother James, seven, who were pictured with Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, alongside Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Dermot O’leary, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.

George has raised £35,000 for Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where James was treated for potentially fatal bronchiolitis.

Ozzy Osbourne, whose wife Sharon was among The X Factor stars to present George with his Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser Award, gave the boys a £50 note backstage, while Duncan Bannatyne gave them an incredible £10,000 donation.

The boys’ dad Richard said: “It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we just met so many amazing people.

“Prince William was talking about Prince George and how he was the same age as my son George when he visited James in hospital. He said how amazing it was that he has raised so much money for the charity. Our donations have gone through the roof – we don’t know how much by yet, but we’re expecting it to be a lot.”

Little Suzie Mccash, four, who got a Child of Courage award for saving mum Rowena after she had an anaphylactic shock, loved meeting royalty.

She said: “I’ve just had the best night ever. Prince William even told me I was so brave and that he was going to teach his little boy and girl to know how to dial 999 in an emergency.”

Super skydiving granny Dilys Price, 85, who picked up a Special Recognition award, got a hug from her hero, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas. Dilys said: “It was amazing. First of all there were so many celebrities, which was just wonderful, then there were so many winners, who were just so brave. It was very humbling. They did so much for others, it really shone a light on the unsung heroes.”

Shirley’s Strictly colleagues Mollie King and AJ Pritchard were also at the afterparty taking pictures with the winners. AJ later posted a shot of him and Mollie, with the comment: “Truly Inspirational evening celebrating real life Heroes in everyday life. Always an emotional evening.” Lady Penny Lancaster was especially moved by Prince’s Trust Young Achiever winner Katie Walker, who was beaten by her abusive ex.

It was particularly poignant after Penny’s recent revelation that she was sexually assaulted when she was just 12 years old.

She said: “For Katie to share her story with so many other women that are going through the same thing. To have her own business and to move forward just shows her strength.”

Penny invited Katie on Loose Women to discuss the campaign to get more women to speak out.

She said: “It’s important that women are able to and are not ashamed about speaking out. We need young girls to know they won’t get into trouble for telling someone.”
