Brennan loses Cue Card ride

PADDY BRENNAN has been replaced on star chaser Cue Card by Harry Cobden.

Trainer Colin Tizzard has chosen to go with a fresh pair of hands on the 11-year-old after he fell for the second time in his last three races in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby on Saturday.

Cue Card’s next race could be the Betfair Chase at Haydock later this month, and he is also among 26 entries for the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Other big names include Thistlecrack, Douvan and Sizing John.

DAVID NOLAN escaped with just bruises as his mount Blacklooks jumped through the running rail in the opening race at Nottingham yesterday.
