TERRIERS TRACKING £4M ANDY

-

HUDDERSFIELD will launch a fresh £4million move for Barnsley right-back Andy Yiadom in January.

Town boss David Wagner scrapped a summer deal for Yiadom (below) when the Ghana international failed a medical and signed Florent Hadergjonaj on loan from Bundesliga outfit Ingolstadt instead.

But he has had Yiadom’s form and fitness monitored after being assured the defender, 25, has recovered from the back injury that wrecked the initial deal. Wagner wants Yiadom to compete with Tommy Smith for the No.2 shirt and the Tykes are ready to do business rather than lose him on a free next summer when his contract ends.
